He was responsible for the creation of the IX serum, a drug that controlled the actions of its victims through a code word. His attempts to apply the drug on a massive scale at Alderaan was thwarted by renegade intelligence agent Sev'ayn'ebbordau. Luchus kept a record of his work in his holocron.
