Hover boots, invented by Nubia Star Drives, Incorporated engineers to aid in the building of skyscrapers, were boots equipped with repulsors that could raise or lower the wearer, though not move them laterally. The engines controls could be manipulated with the wearer's toes. Hover boots were not self-powered, and required a hover transformer within 60 meters, which could power up to nine other pairs of boots. Hover boots could carry a user no higher than 60 meters, ascending at a maximum of 2.5 meters per second, and descending at no more than 5 meters per second.
