If there is any proof that Pseudo-Arachnids are a sentient race, then their starship technology is that. Since Juan Rico doesn't pay much attention to space combat or Bug technology, nothing definitive is known about space warfare in general. It is unknown whether the Bug ships (and other technology) are organic (other Bugs) or mechanical in nature, and whether or not do they use the Cherenkov Drive technology the Terrans do. He does, however, let it slip that Bug ships, unlike Bug Warriors, use missile weaponry. It is also apparent that Bug ships can go toe-to-toe with the Terran Federation Navy ships, as they've managed to directly attack Earth early in the war.
