A fat, ugly, brutish rat in the crew of Raga Bol, Blowfly carried a whip and was coarse and cruel. When Badredd's gang were captured, Blowfly was their willing slavemaster. But during an attack on Redwall Abbey, one of the vermin slaves, Flinky, easily tricked Blowfly into leaving them and the gang fled south. When the truth was discovered, Blowfly and Glimbo the mate were sent to bring them back. In Mossflower Woods, Blowfly lit a torch, but was captured by the giant badger Lonna Bowstripe, who forced information about Bol's whereabouts out of the rat. For once, Blowfly told the truth, and was quickly killed.
