Kari Kurosaki is a female Shinigami who serves as one of the six judges of the Central 46, possessing the designation "Hope." Before attaining her current position, she was a member of the Kurosaki Clan, possessing both the powers of a Shinigami and a Quincy, the aunt of Ichigo Kurosaki. She's the most kind and the most understanding judge among the Central 46, and was the only one who pleaded for Joel Goldsmith to be allowed to hunt down Shikyo Fushiawase by himself, but was overruled by the other five judges. This kindness caused her to betray the Central 46 midway through the Soul Society Civil War.
