The GRX170 features an agathis body bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include dual Ibanez humbucking pickups flanking an Ibanez single coil pickup and a non-locking synchronized tremolo bridge. The GRX150 is similar a similar model with a pickguard. The GRX170L is a left-handed version. The GRX170 was produced for only a single year.
