Devon Wainwright is a Weapon who now serves as a Counselor to King Zachary. In the past she was Queen Isen's personal Weapon. After retiring from that post she trained the later generations of Weapons, including Jendara. When Karigan G'ladheon brings an important message to Sacor City, she is mostly blind but still able to wield a sword. She and Jendara fight in the throne room when Prince Amilton takes over and she dies by throwing herself on her opponent's sword, but first she kills the traitor Castellan Crowe.
