The RG450GX features a basswood body with a pearloid pickguard bolted to a maple neck with a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a double locking tremolo bridge, Ibanez pickups in an HSH configuration, a locking nut and gold hardware. The RG450LTD is a similar model with cosmo black hardware and sharktooth fretboard inlays. The RG450GX was discontinued after just a single year of production.
