Colossus was an Imperial I-class Star Destroyer of the Imperial Starfleet. When Darth Vader decided to destroy the Rebel world D'rinba IV, he took two Star Destroyers as escorts, including Colossus. It was the first to reach D'rinba and encountered an evacuating Rebel transport, but was disabled by a shot from a Rebel planetary ion cannon. The Colossus was also used to reinforce TIE Fighters defending an Imperial Navy depot that had been overwhelmed by X-Wings and Y-Wings. It arrived and launched TIE Bombers and TIE Interceptors, along with Tugs to rescue the Depot's containers.
