Merulf the Conqueror (Vanukeaans: Merulf de Veroveraar, Brmék: Merlkai Krsyijkai Khan) is a national hero in Vanuku. He is commonly praised as the first man to unite most of modern Vanuku under one banner. He is also praised for his bravery, political intelligence and clever use of resources. Some of his exploits are still taught on schools in Vanuku today.
