The A.V.-Sparrow was an Alliance air assault vehicle. It was responsible for the destruction of the planet Haven, a peaceful planet on which the crew of Serenity took refuge on after encountering "the Operative". The Sparrow was shot down during the raid on the planet by Sheppard Book who later died. The pilot of the Sparrow survived the crash only to be killed a few minutes later by Malcolm Reynolds in a fit of rage.
