... It is a fact that people's attitudes towards technology change over time. The survey also revealed a shift in attitude towards technology in Britain. More than 80 percent of Britons describe themselves as comfortable with technology, enthusiastic about new innovations and keen to adopt high-tech equipment; five years ago, the picture was very different, with 37 percent hesitant and apprehensive about the latest gadgets. A mere 18 percent now admit that technology makes them nervous. (ENN, 2005) This allows us to make some reliable predictions about adoption.
