The Protodermis Labs in Ga-Metru were where the Ga-Matoran studied the properties of protodermis. It was here where it was discovered that Energized Protodermis would change someone if it was their destiny and kill them if not. When the Great Cataclysm occurred, all the protodermis in the labs spilled out. It was abandoned when the Matoran moved to Mata Nui, and presumably reactivated when they returned to Metru Nui. The labs were repaired by the Staff of Artakha. The labs were abandoned when the Matoran evacuated to Spherus Magna.
