Investigations, to look into Reza's financial history. While nothing suspicious appeared in Reza's records, Burton came across evidence that Reza had had dealings with Syed Ali, an international financier with ties to terrorist groups. On the morning of the wedding, Burton called to inform Kate what he had found, and had her find Reza's passport and read him the recently visited countries, in order to cross-reference the dates with Ali's activities.
