Aren Teff was a male Human officer of the Royal Navy of the Golden Empire. As a lieutenant commander during the Conquest of the Chiss Ascendancy, he was injured when his ship was struck by megamaser fire from a Chiss Star Destroyer. His left arm had to be replaced with a cybernetic prosthetic just below the shoulder; he received the Sacrifice Medal for the injury.
