The Torrent Monster is a character that only appeared in the Smurfs comic book story "The Golden Acorns" in the book "Smurfs Monsters". He is a vicious tentacled monster that lives in a river within Smurf Forest who attacks anyone who tries to cross his river. In the comic story, when Sassette wants to cross the river, he suddenly appeared from under the water to catch her. His tentacles pull Sassette and Hefty Smurf comes and hits his head with his sword to save her. Finally, the monsters is defeated and Sassette is saved.
