The ability allows Sebastian to deflect abilities used at him. He can consciously choose when to deflect an ability used at him. When the ability is used it will be deflected either back at the user or in another direction. Usually Sebastian uses his hand in order to deflect the ability, but he does not have to, he just has to consciously want to deflect the ability being used at him or directed towards him.
