Casta is the language spoken by the noble caste, the Comyn, as well as the well educated. It appears to be derived from the Terran romance languages, particularly Spanish. Casta appears to be difficult to learn, mostly because of it reliance on intonation and pronunciation. Official and diplomatic meetings with Terrans according to protocol must be performed in casta.
