Honor-wife was the name used to describe one of the secondary wives of a Cerean male. Because the ratio of Cerean women to men was twenty to one, males took several honor-wives in addition to their bond-wife. Relationships between bond-wives and honor-wives were often strained, especially regarding the topic of children.
