The cabal began in the 1990s when a small group of homeless people banded together and formed a Discordian cabal. They were brought together and introduced to Discordianism by the original Fargo the Homeless. Fargo was a name used by the model for The Midget in Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson's The Illuminatus! Trilogy and Wilson's Schrödinger's Cat Trilogy. Founders included Pope Higgins, Pope Hilde and Dorathea, and the group was helped by authors Alden Loveshade and Bruce Goldwell.
