They prey on equal sized organisms, causing many alternate forms such as Chozo Morph Balls to be subject to attack. When they locate a potential victim, they will swarm onto it, draining its life energy in a similar manner to a Metroid, Mochtroid, or Quadtroid. Samus encountered many of these creatures during her second mission to Zebes, which ended in the death of the Mother Brain. As with all other species native to Zebes, it became extinct in the wild when Samus Aran finally destroyed the evil Mother Brain.
