The Zoo Guide was an employee at the San Francisco Zoo when Buck led an attack to free the apes held there. She told tourists watching the chimpanzees, "You folks might want to get your cameras ready, normally these guys are quite shy". She then fled from Buck as he broke open the railings of the chimpanzee exhibit. The chimpanzees, gorillas and orangutans at the zoo then joined Caesar's army in fleeing across the Golden Gate Bridge.
