The Laktar system was a star system within the Klingon Empire. The Laktar system was the site of the Battle of Laktar, one of the fiercest conflicts of the Dominion War. The large number of ships destroyed in the system flooded the region with radiation, making sensor scans impossible for months after the end of the war. In 2376, Malkus the Mighty had the stolen IKS Gorkon shuttle diverted through the Laktar system in order to elude pursuit. (TNG - The Brave and the Bold, Book Two novella: The Final Artifact)
