Spencer Campbell was a director on Coronation Street from September 1988 to January 1993 with 65 episodes to his credit. After also directing episodes of Granada quiz show The Krypton Factor, he found greater success as a producer, with popular programmes such as The Grimleys, My Wonderful Life and Cold Feet. He also produced and directed the 1988 programme Minnie Caldwell Remembered - A Tribute to Margot Bryant.
