Yokai Hunters (妖怪ハンター Yōkai Hantā) are a band of fighters who protect people by fighting Yokai. Kinji Takigawa's father and elder brother fought as Yokai Hunters during his childhood in America before they died at the hands of Western Yokai Wolf Man while protecting Kinji. By fighting the Kibaoni Army Corps, the Ninningers themselves would qualify as Yokai Hunters. The Ninningers' Sentai predecessors, the Kakurangers, who fought the Youkai Army Corps, along with their ally Ninjaman, could be considered as such as well.
