Augustus Betances was a male citizen of the planet Deneva in the 24th century. He was the husband of Elia Betances and the father of Penelope Betances. In early 2381, he left home for a month's stay on Wrigley's Pleasure Planet, following a fight with his wife over curtains. During his stay, the Borg invaded Federation space and destroyed Deneva, killing his wife and daughter. He checked himself into a hospital on P'Jem for depression, but eventually committed suicide.
