The Air Force One Incident was an incident that occurred on board Air Force One in September 2003 in which a terrorist, Leonard Rish who was disguised as a reporter traveling with a group of journalists attempted to kill the President of the United States of America. Although Rish attempted the first time, he wound up only killing two targets: Commander Ray Trapp and Major Timothy Kerry, both of which prompted NCIS to be called in to investigate the deaths. Rish tried for the second time but despite his efforts, he ultimately failed as he was shot dead by NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs.
