The ship Tanganykia was a steamship of unknown origin, although her name suggests that she was probably East African. Within one year of service, Tanganyika was caught in a storm gale, wrecked and sunken near the Spanish coastal city of Vigo, although all her crew safely made it off. The Tanganyika and her fate were only mentioned in a radio broadcast in the book The Crab with the Golden Claws. Other than that, she made no other known appearance.
