Sonic was called to the Greenfield Zone by its Zone Leader because eccentric millionaire Alf Bandstand was having trouble on the world's first round-the-Zones hot air balloon flight. Fortunately, Sonic and Tails were able to rescue both Bandstand and his woodpecker co-pilot before they crashed.
