Edmund Bumbler of Aldersberg was an old lecturer in zoology in Oxenfurt. He proved that the subspecies "Pseudohyphydra", was a completely separate species of the family "Mordidae" from which the Ilyocoris derive. He decided to name it "Ichtyovorax bumbleri".
