Jardine is a merchant city in Southern Maar Sul and the home of the House of Jardine which runs the Jardine Corporation. The city is a bitter rival of Matheson. Its current ruler is Amarawyn Jardine after Lord and Lady Jardine were killed in a short-lived Proninist coup in 1017 AE. Amarawyn was later forced into marrying Galeras Matheson whose family had essentially taken over the city's businesses after the chaotic aftermath of the coup. The city was eventually liberated through the efforts of the Blades of Vigilance although Galeras later escaped from custody.
