José Carreras (b. 1946) is a Spanish tenor best known as a member of the Three Tenors (along with Plácido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti). Ernie and Carreras perform an opera about a sad boy (played by Ernie) who's lost something he loves in an episode of Sesame Street.
