Dubyine is a woman who lives on the Battle Islands of the Pebbled Sea, specifically on Starns. She did not believe that Rosethorn and Myrrhtide were really from Winding Circle, and instead thought they were conning the people into leaving their homes. She did not think that Mount Grace would erupt or could erupt. She was part of a small group of people who included Karove, who reminded Evumeimei Dingzai of a pirate. Azaze Yopali said that although Dubyine and Karove whined about poverty, they had the best horses in all of Starns.
