After graduating V.F.D. basic training, a student is sent to begin an apprenticeship with a V.F.D. Chaperone. They may chose a chaperone from a list of around 50 chaperones to pick the chaperone they would like to learn about V.F.D. from. An apprentice may chose a chaperone based on ranking or location of work. Apprenticeships may take place in many places, due to personal preference of the chaperone and the work available. Chaperones will chose the location of the apprenticeship depending on the educational needs of the apprenticeship.
