Douglas Grimm I was a member of the Grimm family, born in 1813. His death date is unknown as he went missing in 1860, aged 47. Douglas is the only child of Wilhelm Grimm and Henrietta Grimm, and so was well acquainted with the family business of being fairy-tale detectives. He is the great-great-great-great grandfather of Sabrina and Daphne, the protagonists of The Sisters Grimm series. For reasons unknown, Douglas went missing in 1860 and left no clue as to where he could be. Spaulding would later go on to name his eldest son in his father's honour.
