The USS Titan (NCC-2014) was an Excelsior-class Starfleet starship in service during the late 23rd century. Around Stardate 9697, the Titan rendezvoused with USS Valkyrie to transport the President of the Federation to the accession ceremonies on the planet Huan. Shortly after the President and his aide beamed aboard, the Titan appeared to explode with the loss of all hands. The crew of the Valkyrie attempted to solve the mystery and pursued a sensor anomaly, later discovered to be the Titan herself, into the Romulan Neutral Zone.
