Lily Appledore was a woman who served as one of the guards that took charge in keeping prisoners in the Bree Town Jail, and married to Whelan Appledore, a member of the Appledores. During the War of the Ring, Lily took charge in defending the jail when Bree was under attack by the Ruffians led by Sharkey. She fought valiantly when a riot broke loose in the Town Jail.
