The Remnant War was a series of conflicts and battles that occurred in the Milky Way Galaxy between March 3, 2553, immediately after the Human-Covenant War, and 22 October 2565. The war was fought between the allied Alliance of Sangheili Clans, Unified Earth Government and Yanme'e Conglomeration on one side, and the collection of Covenant successor states on the other, the latter of which were hostile to both external factions and each other.
