John Scott Clough (born on July 4, 1960 in Nederlander, Colorado) appeared as Jim Petrillo, Sophia's grandson, in the Seaaon 1 episode of Empty Nest titled "Dumped". John is perhaps best known for appearnaces in the films Fast Forward (1985),Bad Dreams (1988), Gross Anatomy (1989) and Phantoms (1998). Amongt his numerous television credits include guest role appearances in numerous TV shows, which include Family Ties. Double Trouble (which co-starred the "Doublemint" twins Liz and Jean Sagal), St. Elsewhere, a voice role in the ABC-TV animated series Monsters, Herman's Head, Rachel Gunn, R.N., Quantum Leap, and most recently the CBS-TV series JAG.
