Joe Tomasello was an IT administrator who worked for District in Los Angeles, managing their servers. At some point before Day 3, Joe put a 24 hour delay on updating user mods on the District servers because of security problems they had been having. When Tony Almeida was shot on Day 3 and Michelle Dessler had to take over, she called Joe to see if the delay could be waived to allow someone else to take her position while she went to the hospital to be with Tony. However, Joe was unable to waive the delay, and when Chloe, Adam and Gael offered to take over from Michelle she explained the situation to them. ("Day 3: 4:00pm-5:00pm")
