The peasant is the first tier unit of the Knight faction in Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars, recruited by building a Thatched Hut. They can also be recruited from the peasant hut on the adventure map. Their stats are the worst of any unit, and their only redeeming quality is their large numbers. A group of peasants should avoid attacks and counterattacks at all costs, as each attack drastically reduces their numbers.
