Blaes son of the Earl of Llychlin is known only as one of the Three Just Knights, along with Cadawg son of Gwenlliw the Bearded and Pedrog Splintered-Spear in the 15th century Welsh list of the . The name Blaes does not appear to be Welsh in its current spelling and may come from Blaise in the Story of Merlin.
