Grand Hurlen is the largest of the thirty islands that make up the city of Hurlen. It is the residence of the city's upper class, containing a "hive of rooms, towers, and twisting passageways". The center of the island is an open, grassed, earth-filled hollow that is a park during peacetime; in emergencies, such as wartime and weirdingstroms, sheep are penned there.
