Telepathine is a substance introduced into the body that causes the affected to feel no or reduced fear, allowing them to stand up to a Xenomorph, causing the Xenomorph to pause and reconsider if not completely turn away. Colonel Doctor Paul Church had a hand in it's creation, if not being the creator himself.
