Reg O'Connor was the son of Tom and Cissy O'Connor, who lived at 5 Coronation Street from 1904 to 1908. Reg was born in 1907. When Reg was three months old, Cissy accidentally smothered him in bed, and after burying their baby the couple fled Weatherfield, fearing arrest for manslaughter. Reg first appeared in Daran Little and Bill Hill's "Weatherfield Life", published in 1992. Other information is derived from Little's follow-up book, "Around the Coronation Street Houses".
