The weapons included in the Community Expansion Pack (CEP) offer variety to players, but suffer from the same limitations as other non-BioWare weapons. These weapons cannot be chosen when selecting a weapon-specific feat (e.g. weapon focus), and the spells that target weapons (e.g. magic weapon) need to be modified in order to recognize these new items as weapons (i.e. valid targets). Those latter spell modifications are available on the NWN Vault.
