Mika(VEM138) was born on November 15, 2008 in the Elveera Mob. His mother was Jo Jo Hello, his father was never determined. His litter-mates were his two brothers Winnie(VEM137) and Oskar(VEM139). They were Jo Jo Hello's last surviving litter ever. Mika and his two litter-mates brothers were well looked after, being the dominant female's pups. They surivived their first few months but in early 2009 there were the first signs of disease. In June 2009 Jo Jo Hello died of disease and Chibuku Scud took dominance female of the group. There was a large splinter, including Mika's litter-mate brothers, leaving only four meerkats, Chibuku Scu, Teabag, Vidy and Mika. All contracted tuberculosis within a month and had to be euthenized.
