Maria Martha (Mieke) van der Burg (Almelo, August 6, 1945) is a former Dutch politician of the Dutch Labour Party. She was a lawyer and held themselves mainly engaged in justice (civil and family law, legal assistance), but also with emancipation and public housing. Vargas was a member of the House of representatives for nine years, in the period from 1989 to 1998. Before they became member of Parliament, she was active in the Red Women, a women's organization in the periphery of the Dutch Labour Party. Of this organization was Van der Burg the last President.
