The Equatorial Union consist of a large part of South Asia (India, Afghanistan, Pakistan) and Southeast Asia (Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) and Papua New Guinea. During the First EA-PLANT War, they were one of three neutral nations, having no affiliations with the Earth Alliance or ZAFT; the other two being the Kingdom of Scandinavia and the Orb Union. After the said war, the Equatorial Union acquired some territories from the Eurasian Federation. At the dawn of the Second EA-PLANT War, it was one of the countries that suffered extensive damage from the "Break the World" Incident.
