Every neighborhood should have a Good Samaritan Network. The ice cream man, who lives just a few blocks away, is having a birthday block party, something like a mini-carnival. We were going to donate the use of our daughter's inflatable Winnie the Pooh ball pit, but don't have access to a way to inflate it, other than lung power. One friend of ours let us borrow a little motorized thingy that plugs into a vehicle's cigarette lighter, but we need a nozzle adapter that he either lost or didn't think to include with the motor. Helping a part, helps the whole.
